Chris is a lifelong resident of Allegheny County, a graduate of Shaler Area High School and the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his undergraduate degrees in Urban Studies and Geography as well as his Master of Public Administration degree. Upon graduation from Pitt, he went to work for the Borough of Edgewood where he served as the Borough Manager for three and one-half years. In 1986 he was appointed to the position of Municipal Manager for Hampton Township, a job he held until his retirement in February, 2024.
With 4 decades of experience in municipal/local government management, Chris is uniquely positioned to be your voice on Allegheny County Council.
He understands the complexities of county government, the fiscal and regulatory environments, what is lacking and what can be improved upon. Chris also understands the fiscal burdens that have recently been laid upon county taxpayers (a 36% real estate property tax increase) at the hands of the County Executive and Council.
Most importantly, he understands that the management of county government requires a higher level of knowledge, experience and managerial skill that his opponent can provide.
Chris is married to his wife Janet of 41 years and they have three children, Erin (37), Alex (32) and Michael (31). He is an avid University of Pittsburgh Football and Basketball sports fan as well as a Pirates and Steelers fan. He also enjoys running/jogging, hiking, biking and he's been known to play a round of golf now and then.
